A lot of new things happening...

Well, I don't have pictures with me, but I'll post a few later. Here is a recent update:

I did go snowboarding for the first time with Josh and it was so much fun!! Of course I fell a lot, but I did pretty well for my first time... (I mean I was on the bunny slopes, so hopefully I did good, haha). Josh was the perfect teacher, extremely patient and fun to spend the day with! Pictures to follow...

Now to the big news... for everyone who hasn't heard, we bought another place!! We were looking at houses for the longest time (over 6 months) and couldn't find much that we liked... everything was really big, like 4/5 bedrooms, which we obviously wouldn't need for awhile. So we reverted back to looking at townhouses and that same day we found our new home!! It's perfect for us!! It about 350 sq ft. bigger than our current place, it has 2 bed/ 2 bath and a garage! It's only a few years old and it's beautiful! I LOVE IT!! We figured with just the two of us still, 2 rooms is plenty for now. Once we have a little one, we still have the extra room for them when they come. It's less rooms to furnish, we can do a lot of nice things to it (i.e., new hardwood floors, yay!) and of course it was much cheaper than our price range, meaning we can save even more now!

It was seriously a steal of a deal and we jumped on it right away... we put an offer on it about 1 1/2 weeks ago on a Saturday and the offer was accepted same day. That Monday 2 more offers came in, so we're lucky we jumped on it when we did. We've been in the process of doing the inspections, appraisal, etc. and everything is coming back great! We are closing a week from today, Jan. 28 and can not WAIT to move it! The best part about it, is it's really close for Josh to work and really close for me, it's like directly in the middle! And we're super close now to Mike, Rebecca and the girls!! Another perk... our church building is on the same street, so we can walk to it every week!

We're still keeping our Provo condo and will just be renting it out for now, which is crazy to think we'll be landlords, haha. I'm really excited about the new purchase and hope you'll come visit us now!! I have a few pictures I'll put up soon.

The End.

I'm really excited to get moved in and do the little fix ups we want to do. With all of the money we didn't spend on a house, also means we have a budget for some new furniture! I can't wait to decorate all over again and design our new place! Of course I'll post pictures soon... but I want you to see what it looks like after it's done too...

Welcome 2009

Well, about a week late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! This year Josh and I celebrated the new year with some good friends of ours, Lacie Gregson and her boyfriend Zach, Veronica and Alden Robertson and Christina and Ryan Skousen. We had an absolute blast! We had lots of appetizers to munch on as well as many games to play. If you know me, I love games and we had a good time hanging out with everyone. Right when the clock struck midnight, I was opening a bottle of Sparkling Cider and it decided to overflow and go all over so I spent midnight running into the kitchen and cleaning up the bottle and washing my hands so I didn't get to do my popper thingy... hahaha. So here are some pictures to capture the evening.

Here are some new years resolutions of mine:

1. Lose 10 pounds

2. Drink only diet soda or no soda

3. Buy a house

4. Get a gym membership so I can exercise

5. Be more organized

Those are only a select few, there are plenty more things I can work on, but I need to take it slowly :)

Check back for an update soon to see my first time snowboarding!

I love Christmas!

So Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday of all for many reasons. The presents are nice, but being with family and remembering why we celebrate Christmas really make me happy. This year we got to spend Christmas down in Texas with Josh's family. They just moved out there this past year so it was our first Christmas down there. We had such an incredible time!! Our family is so amazing! They are just so much fun to spend time with and the nicest ever.

While we were down there we played a lot of games, went to a movie, had a birthday party for 2 of our nephews, went bowling and really just got to enjoy each other's company. Some people may thing you have to always be doing something to have fun... definitely not the case. There were many nights we would just stay home and play games with each other and there was nothing else I would have rather been doing.

I am a dork and didn't take pictures of the trip, so I'm stealing these from my sister in law's blog :) Thanks Amy!!

And our New Year's Party will be posted later once I get those pictures up. Happy Holidays everyone!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

So Dec. 17 was Josh and my 3rd anniversary!! Can you believe it's been three years already! I can't, but it's been the most amazing 3 years ever! For our anniversary we've decided not to get gifts but instead do something together that we can remember the day by. So this year we went out to eat at Tucanos'... a brazilian all you can eat meat place... delicious! and we're trying to find a weekend to go snowboarding together... which may actually be tomorrow! So once we do our activity I'll post some pictures. But let me just say, these past 3 years have been the most amazing of all. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful, fun, thoughtful, caring, sweet husband! We get along so great and just have so much fun together! I'm happy to have found him and glad I can spend forever with him!! Here's to the next 80 years!

My Birthday!

First of all... my birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I never blogged about it and I gave the excuse that I wanted to take pictures, and then never did. So I'm just going to tell you about it. It was such a great birthday and Josh is so amazing. Unfortunately it was on a Sunday, so a lot of the day we just hung out, played games, etc. Saturday night we went out to dinner, which was awesome and then Sunday night I had a few friends over to eat cake and ice cream. Funfetti of course... my favorite. Josh got me a lot of cute things for my birthday too... a new shirt, some lounge pants, gloves and a scarf and one thing I've really wanted.... an EPILATOR!!

For those of you who don't know what this is, it's the most bitter/sweet thing you can think of. My friend Jen got one awhile ago, which I borrowed and then wanted one of my own. It pretty much tweezes your hair for you so that you hardly have to shave, but it's sooo painful when you do it the first few times!! I've done it on my legs and it hurt really bad, and I've touched it up a couple times, but it takes like 2 weeks for my hair to grow back! It's a beautiful thing and I hope I can get enough courage to do my underarms... but for now, my legs are silky smooth! And I am now 24. However, someone at the mall thought I was 17 and when I went to Albertson's to buy some popper thingys for New Years they asked if I was over 16. So apparently I still look like a teenager.
