Crazy day

Well, Josh is back from his trip and I'm so happy to have him home! He got home at midnight last night. He was in Texas for a conference for work. Something called SXSW - South by southwest, whatever the heck that means, lol. He had a good time, but we're both happy he's finally back! He does leave for Canada Friday night though for a lacrosse game, so he'll be gone again this weekend, dumb.

As for me - I'm sure you saw on my facebook, but I was in a car accident yesterday. I'm ok, so don't worry :) It was the first accident I've EVER been in. Never been in a fender bender, or anything, so I was totally shooken up over this. And of course it had to be my fault :(

I was turning left into the grocery store parking lot and there were 3 lanes of oncoming traffic. They were all coming to a stop at the red light and the first 2 lanes stopped for me. I was creeping out into the third lane to make sure there weren't any cars, and out of no where this guy slams into me. I spun around 180 degrees and it was a complete miracle I didn't hit like the 4 other cars around me. Seriously, no idea how that happened. When my car stopped, I just thought, "how many cars did I just hit" Really scary. I started crying too, I'm a baby, but I was so nervous and had no idea what to do. The lady behind me that saw everything, came up to me and asked if I was ok and hugged me and said everything would be already. She was the sweetest lady. She called the police for us and she told me she would wait with me until they came.

The man I hit was 69 and his airbag deployed, but he was alright, thank goodness. My back immediately hurt on my right side where my ribs are right after we hit. It stopped hurting, but when I woke up this morning, not only was my back still sore, but my neck is KILLING me. I can hardly turn my head. It feels like I pulled a ton of muscles on the left side. I actually walked home after the accident, because it was pretty close to my house and I didn't want the police to drive me, because I would have felt weird if someone saw them dropping me off at my house, haha.

My car is messed up and had to get towed (pictures to come). It's really not as bad as it may sound, but my car still wasn't driveable. The other guy's car was, so he at least was able to drive home. My front right passenger side got smashed in at the wheel, so I couldn't drive on that tire.

Anyways I was totally emotional all day and thanks for the all texts and calls... sorry I didn't respond to the calls, I would have just cried if I answered, haha.

But all is good now and Josh is home and I'm happy things weren't any worse! You live and learn.

Day to day

Hmmm. So, nothing new is going on and life is pretty standard over here... hence no blog posts. I'm trying to come up with SOMETHING exciting but haven't really thought of anything. Josh was out of town for Valentine's day so we didn't go out that day. We did spend the evening together about a week later, which is what I prefer anyways, because Feb. 14 is crowded anyways.

I'm happy Spring is almost here! Man, I can't wait! I love the warm weather. Josh and I are trying to plan a trip around Memorial Weekend....maybe something in the Caribbean this time. It'll be nice to go somewhere relaxing and not a go-go-go type of vacation. Which would still be fun. So... any ideas? We're thinking either another cruise or maybe an All-Inclusive type vacation to one island? Some places we've thought about are Aruba, Bahamas, Punta Cana (DR), St. Lucia, St. Maarten, etc. Anyone have experiences they would like to share??? All thoughts are welcome!
