So these past couple of weeks have been kind of crazy. After really talking about the house we wanted to buy in South Jordan, neither Josh nor I felt good about it. We both just didn't felt right and as soon as we made the decision not to go through with it, we both felt soooo good and relieved. Like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. It was amazing and a true answer to prayer. So, we still looked to possibly rent something more in the middle of where we both work, but we weren't finding anything there either...Surprisingly it was cheaper to pay our mortgage in Provo than to rent from someone else.
So ultimately, we've decided to stay right in Provo for a little while until something changes. To be honest, I feel so great about that decision! I feel bad that Josh still has to drive kind of far, but it really is the best thing for us at this point. By living here, we can save a TON of money so when we are ready to move, we can really buy exactly what we want and where we want.
But now that we've chosen to stay in Provo, there are a lot of little things we want to do to our place, to make it amazing! Josh has already done a lot of work to it, and I'm so grateful he's so handy! He's already changed all of the linoleum floors to tile, we've painted our family room/dining room/kitchen/bath, and Josh put up some wainscotting in the bathroom. We also just painted our bedroom this last weekend and it looks sooo good! I'll post pictures tomorrow once we get our new bedroom furniture. The things we want to do are: crown molding throughout, paint the guest room, stain the kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets, change the countertops in the kitchen/bath, and maybe eventually get new appliances for the kitchen. Of course this won't all happen at once, but over the life of us living there.
So, overall, I'm really happy to stay in Provo especially since Veronica and Lacie are going to be there!! It's so funny because we all were planning on leaving Provo, but things have changed for all of us, and now we're all still staying! Crazy! Well, I'll post pictures tomorrow of our room... I think it looks so cool!
Let's get started!
